Love in the Name of Christ offers something to everyone involved— not only to people who receive help, but also to hometown missionaries, pastors of partner churches, community organizations, and supporters.

Love in the Name of Christ is for people who are homeless, hungry, unemployed, disheartened-- even desperate... and unsure of where to turn for help. People who benefit from Love INC include single mothers, senior adults, young families, children, and youth. These people often are among the working poor, who have minimal incomes and are unable to afford even basic necessities such as shelter, food, and medical care. For many who are hurting, Love in the Name of Christ is an answer to prayer.

The individuals and churches supporting Love in the Name of Christ know that it is a vital ministry that responds to critical needs that otherwise would go unmet. Their assistance enables Love INC and Hometown Missionaries to make a significant difference in the lives of people living in poverty. With assurance of efficient operation and local control, contributors know that their donations are well-used to provide needed services in our own community.

Love in the Name of Christ helps Christians who are called to service because it enables them to use their time and talents to make a difference in the lives of others. We call these people "Hometown Missionaries" because they are the hands and feet of Christ and the bearer of God’s love in situations where the need for that love is great. Love INC challenges Christians to grow in their faith by asking them to make a sincere commitment to assist the poor, and understand and use their gifts and resources to help others in manageable service opportunities. Loving our neighbors in the specific ways they have requested is rewarding and life-changing for Hometown Missionaries as well as those receiving help.
